We came, we saw, I got sick...
So Penny Arcade Expo was a blast! Favorite titles there would be Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Contra Rebirth. We ran out of Frobot CDs on Saturday so I probably should have ordered more. I also met indie developer Nicholas Trahan of Studio Walljump, who is working on Liight for WiiWare.
Unfortunately, I also contracted the flu at PAX so I'm definitely out of it right now. But hopefully I'll be feeling better and posting more news on Frobot soon. Until then here's a photo of us at PAX.

Special Weapons
After a month hiatus we finally have some new info on Frobot! To save his girlfriends Frobot is going to need some serious firepower. Thankfully, Frobot has 4 special weapons at his diposal.
Dynomine
A remote mine that can be used to destroy enemies and obstacles.
Stud Missile
Destroys most enemies and obstacles.
Enemies can blow them up with energy blasts.
Heartstopper
A shield that deflects all energy blasts. Useful
for attacking, defending, and activating generators.
Jive Stalker
This disco ball is controlled by the mouse cursor or Wii pointer. Useful for attacking enemies or activating generators.
Make sure to check out this blog or http://www.frobot-game.com/ next week. We will be posting a new game video showing off all the weapons and we will also be posting a PC playable demo!

Concepts
Hello, I'm Peter Lim, an artist on the project. I'm sitting in a pool of my own sweat right now since the office is cookin'. It's 97° here in Seattle, can you believe?! Bring back the rain! But other than the heat, it's been quite busy around here so none of us has had much of a chance to post. So I decided to post a concept of our funky hero Frobot. Not much has changed since this design and is pretty much what he'll be in the game.Above is a concept of one of his 6 girlfriends you must rescue. Not much else to say about them yet but, we're making a lot of progress, so hopefully we'll have more to post soon!

New Teleporters!
Hi everyone. I'm Eric Esteb, the game designer for Frobot, and it is my pleasure to introduce our newest feature. Frobot is now going to be traveling through, shooting through, and generally kicking ass with teleporters. As one might imagine, these teleporters move things from one place to another place instantaneously, making for some interesting and challenging new puzzles. Take a look.

Frobot has been announced!
I'm happy to finally publicly announce Frobot for WiiWare, PC, and Mac.
My name is Andrew Lum and I'm the Producer for Frobot. What is Frobot all about? Essentially it's a mash up between Wii Tanks and The Legend of Zelda.
Each week a Frobot team member will post on this blog with a little new information about the game. It might be a new screenshot or video or a little insight on the game design or programming. Stay tuned for now and please join our mailing list so you'll know when we have new exciting news on Frobot.
